Dalmatian wild sheep has a similar horn structure like Marco Polo sheep, but much smaller ofcourse. They are mostly white, but sometimes there are black dalmatian wild sheep.
Why hunt Dalmatian Wild Sheep?
Artemis Hunting organizes dalmatian wild sheep hunts on Croatia’s islands. Dalmatian wild sheep are native to the islands, and have been wild since the 18th century, when people left the islands to find jobs on the mainland. SCI accepts dalmatian wild sheep as an entry for the Ovis World Slam. We hunt them spot and stalk or from blinds, depending on your preference. We usually use calibers such as the .308 Win., .30-06, and .300 Win. Mag. Guests sometimes combine dalmatian wild sheep hunts with feral goat, wild boar, mouflon and Balkan chamois hunts.

Before the hunt, we’ll take a few practice shots, and the Artemis Hunting team will show you exactly how to use our rifles and optics. Throughout the hunt, our guides will be by your side to assist with range adjustments and shot preparation, ensuring that every hunter is confident, comfortable, and ready for a successful shot.
Available rifles
We have all sorts of rifles: Blaser, Sauer, Hardy, Christensen, Howa, etc. Basically for every type of hunting. Some of the calibers we have are .300 Win. Mag., .30-06, .308 Win., 6,5 Creedmoor etc. We also have muzzle breaks on most of our rifles, so even with bigger calibers there isn’t a big recoil.
